There is a new Humble Bundle of interest to game developers, and represents the cheapest opportunity I have seen to pick up the GameMaker Studio 2 game engine. The GameMaker Studio 2 bundle on Humble is pretty straight forward. You can get several different games made using the Game Maker game engine, as well as two different 1 year subscription tiers, depending on which tier you purchase.
At the mid tier you get 1 year of Humble GameMaker Studio Indie (which includes all platforms except consoles, so Windows, Mac, Linux, Android, Web and iOS), or 1 year of Creator, which includes desktop platform support. With the recent acquisition of YoYoGames by Opera, for better or worse, GameMaker Studio has moved to a subscription licensing model. If you are interested in getting GameMaker Studio, this is the cheapest I have seen it yet.
