The popular open source Adobe Illustrator/Affinity Designer alternative Inkscape, just released Inkscape 1.4. The vector graphics application, available on Windows, Mac and Linux, just received several new features.
Highlight new features of the Inkscape 1.4 release include:
- New Filter Gallery dialog
- Modular Grids added, as well as axiomatic grid improvements
- New color Swatch dialogs
- Experimental Unified Font Browser and SVG Font editor
- Customizable node editor handles
- Shape Builder able to extract raster graphics regions
- Object attributes and properties dialogs merged
- Ability to open Affinity Designer documents
- New “Dash” icon pack
