Massive Fab Updates + Unreal Asset Giveaway Sept 2025

At launch Fab, the replacement for the Unreal Engine Marketplace, was missing a ton of features. Last week Epic Games released a massive update to the Fab store, fully integrating it into the Epic Games Launcher. Additionally, it is once again time for the bi-monthly Epic Games Unreal Engine (and Unity this time) game assets giveaway on Fab. You have from September 23rd to October 7ths to claim the assets for free.

This Month’s free assets include:

In regard to the changes to the Fab marketplaces, they are described in this blog:

Fab is now available in the Epic Games Launcher, making it faster and more convenient to grab Fab marketplace content for your projects. Access Fab’s entire library of diverse assets—and all of your Fab acquisitions—without having to leave the Launcher.

You can also batch add-to-cart, batch download, and batch export assets directly to your favorite digital content creation (DCC) tool with one click, simplifying your workflow. Assets can be exported in a wide range of industry-standard filetypes to popular DCCs and game engines including UE, Unity, Blender, 3ds Max, Maya, and Cinema 4D, while custom disk and socket export capabilities give you the flexibility to tailor your export flow to suit your pipeline.

To access Fab in Launcher, you’ll need to update to the latest version of the Epic Games Launcher. After updating, fire it up and you’ll see Fab in the left navigation panel under Unreal Engine. See the documentation for more information.

From the Fab in Launcher settings, you’ll be able to set your preferred file formats and target DCCs for quick export every time, and filter your assets by location (on disk or in My Library) to easily find what you’re looking for and avoid re-downloading assets you’ve already got on disk. In addition, you can open Fab listing pages on top of search to quickly review product details as you hunt for the perfect asset for your project.

To celebrate the rollout of Fab in Launcher, we’ve prepared a special Megascans release—Quixel’s largest ever! Check it out, along with all the other incredible content from the talented creators on Fab! Also, don’t forget to take a look at the Fab roadmap to see what new features and improvements are coming to Fab.

There are also a number of Unreal Engine asset bundles running on Gumroad:
