Range Engine — BGE Lives On

The Range Engine is a new project to continue the development of the Blender Game Engine. The Blender Game Engine was removed from Blender back in Blender 2.79. Thankfully for BGE fans, the UPBGE project was launched which kept Blender Game Engine development alive. However with the release of UPGBE 3.0 they moved beyond the original Blender 2.x version.

For people hoping for a legacy BGE update that continued to receive updates, the Range Engine could be the perfect solution for you. Built on top of an older release of UPBGE, Range Engine is a version of the Blender Game Engine from 2.79 with continued support and new features being added.
