The first Tuesday of every month, Epic Games giveaway several assets for Unreal Engine, and August 2021 is no exception. The UE Marketplace assets are free but need to be “Purchased” before the first Tuesday of September, when they will hopefully be replaced with new free assets. Once purchased (for zero dollars) however, the assets remain yours free forever. Speaking of forever, there is an addition to the permanently free collection as well.
The August 2021 Unreal free assets are:

- Advanced Female Customization
- Luo’s Eight Elements
- In-Game Level Editor
- Root Motion Guide

One common question is, can these assets be used outside of Unreal Engine and the answer is generally yes, unless the asset came directly from Epic Games. This will of course require you to get the asset out of Unreal Engine, a process we described in this tutorial.
