Well in advance of the next Unreal Engine Marketplace Giveaway, Epic games have just gifted another high quality asset pack to Unreal Engine developers. This one is the City Park Environment Collection, a collection of assets from SilverTM.
Details of the pack from the Unreal Engine blog:
- Hiking trails, paths, and foliage
- Water features and effects for lakes and ponds
- Benches, bridges, statues, and fountains
- Food and vendor stalls
- Playgrounds and picnic areas
- Sports fields and courts
- Garbage and recycling bins
The pack is free forever, so there is no time limit to download or purchase by. You are free to use these assets in a commercial project and no, it does not have to be used in Unreal, although extracting the assets can be a bit of a pain. Be sure to give yourself plenty of time to install however, as the pack is 4GB in size and contains over 12,000 shaders to compile. On my machine, installing and opening the asset took slightly over an hour! You can learn more about the free environment pack in the video below (or here on Odysee).
