As a bit of an annual tradition (with a few years excepted) Sonniss have given away a huge number of sound fx assets for game developers at GDC, and GDC 2024 is no exception. You can currently download over 27.5GB+ of sound effects from a number of different packs on their site.

In celebration of #GDC2024 we are giving away 27.5GB+ of high-quality sound effects from our amazing vendors here at Sonniss. No attribution is required and you can use them on an unlimited number of projects for the rest of your lifetime. If you would like more options and design choices to work with, please consider purchasing the corresponding collection.
All of the files we send out are just a small sample of our suppliers complete collection. We’re giving you a taste of what we have to offer with a selection of sounds from each library added over the last year. These files are straight from the source and haven’t been tampered with in any way, they are exactly the same files as we sell (Everything is royalty-free and commercially usable). Make sure to glance over the licensing agreement on the right; we’ve tweaked a few things.
The one major change in their license is that they cannot be used to train AI models, but other than that and trying to claim them as your own, you are pretty much free to use these assets as you wish!
